August, 1587. Roanoke Island.

Two of the wounded men were able to recover. Unfortunately, you had to bury three men after your expedition to Croatoan. The month of August was an eventful month in Roanoke. After grieving over the lost men, the company also had reason to celebrate: On the 18th, Elenor, daughter of the Governour, was delivered of a daughter, and because this child was the first Christian borne in Virginia, shee was named Virginia. After this happy day, however, a disagreement arose between White, you, and your fellow assistants. Two assistants were to be chosen to return to England for more supplies. Your fellow assistants had made it clear they had no interest in going back, and White turned to you: ''(name), I would like you to go back and get more supplies. This is a good opportunity for you to reunite with your family, and bring them here.'' You had not expected a return so early, and you felt as if there was still a lot you could contribute to the colony in such an early stage. However, you did miss your family dearly, and the idea of seeing them again filled your heart with joy. The journey back home, and then back to Roanoke would be a very long one, and you were in doubt. [option] ‘’I still haven’t completed my part in building this new colony, and I will not leave at this moment,’’ you answered. Knowing that the rest of the assistants rather had White return for supplies, you proposed: ‘’Why do you yourself not return, since you know best what this colony needs.’’ ->file 2.2 [option] ‘’If this is what you ask of me, I will complete this task.'' ->file end3
